How Humbling

It's funny how much you think you know, until you are put into a situation that shows you different. I thought I was finally organized and efficient. Everything was going well, I was keeping up with the kids and even getting ahead in areas that I thought I would never get to. Life was "streamlined" - or so I thought.

Then I moved into a camper with a poor (but free) Wi-Fi connection. The stress had the kids fighting like banshees, and I had a 3 month old baby. It took me an hour just to do dishes.

What a rude awakening.

That said, I understand that living in a house with six kids and living in a camper with six kids are different. I guess that's true, but in any case, I need to relearn how to be "streamlined".

So now, this blog is going to be more of a "work in progress" type rather than"how I did it" and I'll be posting on my learning curve.

Perhaps you will be interested in going on this new adventure with me.

MOMĒTEK's Guide Google+ Page

I'm working on separating MOMĒTEK's Guide from Nancie's Web as I'm trying to keep "Nancie's Web" as a family site. Even then, I plan on eventually phasing that out to "This (not so) Boring Life". So here it is:

www.google.com/+MometekBlogspotdotcom

I'll be adding more gadget reviews, awesome links, and products that make your life more streamlined. After all, in this modern world, being inefficient is not a good idea.

I've also added a community for mothers who want to share their own tech posts, ideas, and ways they have made their life more "streamlined" so that they can spend more time with their family.

If you are interested: https://plus.google.com/communities/109608549399198474562

The community is geared towards mothers who want to use tech to make their lives easier -so that they can spend more time with their family. However, anyone can join.

A new Resource: Flylady.net

This site is probably one of the best self-help on organization sites I've ever seen. If you log onto flylady.net you will get all kinds of tips and tricks to get organized. Chances are, if I mention any organization tips, it probably came from here, although I have also gotten a few tips from friends and other books (which I'll probably mention in future posts)

If you aren't much of a self starter or you don't know where to start, they have page with some basic steps so that you can get started quickly.
